Description First  printing in 1948 at 1/6d.
Re-printed in 1954 at 2/6d.
Large stocks of the second print survive through to the present day.

The wrapper of the 1/6d printing has the set number HM II so faintly printed in yellow on a white background that it is almost indiscernible.
The boiler card of King George V of set 1/6d has an error in the way the boiler is drawn. It is not possible to make up the boiler as it is drawn on the card. The 2/6d version has the correct boiler, it has been properly developed for curvature.

A reprint was issued in 1980 by Merrymack Publishing Corporation in New York. Alas the 1/6 edition was used with the incorrect boiler.

Micromodels London also published the model.
