The GWR Tank Loco is inaccurate. The boiler and the firebox do not fit between the side tanks. Michael Kaintoch built this model in scale 1:250 . He first glued the cab’s front and end into the cab and tank unit, and then carefully trimmed the tank tops and sides until the boiler and firebox smoothly went between them. Micromodels London published a reprint. Mike Trice adapted the J 50 Tank. On this page you can see how to adapt a model to a new version. |
