Very large stocks of this re-print passed to the Watford Model Supply Co. in 1971.

The three models are:

  • The Rocket of 1829, together with a passenger coach that closely resembles a stage coach.
  • Locomotion of 1825 and two open wagons.
  • Puffing Billy of 1813 with one canopied coach.

There is obviously some connection between the Rocket and the Modelcraft J1 Stephenson’s Rocket. There are similarities in the execution of the artwork. Some micromodellers assume that Heighway drew H 1 on his memory of how J1 had been designed a year or two before for Modelcraft.

This publication is one of the first five post war Micromodels.

A reprint of the Rocket was issued in 1985 by Magnus Models in a much larger scale.

Autocraft published set H1 in the normal scale.
