The 1958 Broadway Approvals calogues “Micromodel Kits” and “Micromodels” do not list the model, which is surprising as years later the Watford Model Supply Co. catalogued stocks of the model at 75p each. Doctor Johnson’s House was selected as one of the official souvenir sets at the Festival of Britain in 1951, so a special sticker was applied to the wrapper. Autocraft has printed three versions of Doctor Johnson’s House:
Micromodels London also published a model of Doctor Johnson’s House. D.G. Models has issued two models:
Kenilworth Press published this model in their “Limited Edition” series. It is numbered LTD-5 and it is about twice the size of the original. The model is a well drawn miniature of the Doctor Johnson’s London town house. |
