No second printing of Doctor Johnson’s House was catalogued.
The 1957 catalogue lists the model as out of print. The 1958 Broadway Approvals calogues “Micromodel Kits” and “Micromodels” do not list the model, which is surprising as years later the Watford Model Supply Co. catalogued stocks of the model at 75p each.

Doctor Johnson’s House was selected as one of the official souvenir sets at the Festival of Britain in 1951, so a special sticker was applied to the wrapper.

Autocraft has printed three versions of Doctor Johnson’s House:

  • one printed straight from the original printing plates. This version is printed on modern white paper, so it is distinguishable from the original.
Collectors have to be cautious because when you see only a picture of this model it is impossible to determine if it is an original or a re-issue.
  • one with Autocraft on the bottom, price removed
  • one with the head Micro New Models, priced at 1/8d.

Micromodels London also published a model of Doctor Johnson’s House.

D.G. Models has issued two models:

  • one model in a larger scale with completely new artwork.
  • a micromodel numbered FHB.1 which has the same artwork as the larger model.

Kenilworth Press published this model in their “Limited Edition” series. It is numbered LTD-5 and it is about twice the size of the original.

The model is a well drawn miniature of the Doctor Johnson’s London town house.
